Kailyn Lowry’s Memoir, Pride Over Pity, Gets 2014 Release Date
Teen Mom 2's Kailyn Lowry is treating her fans to a belated holiday present! This glamorous mother of two has spent the past few years hard at work on her debut book, Pride Over Pity, and it looks like it'll finally be hitting the shelves in the new year! Praise Baby Lincoln, it's all happening.
"Next set of editors notes are done! #PrideOverPity is coming sooon! It's been a long process," Kailyn tweeted on December 21, adding, "I'll post something when I know for sure date but definitely 2014. It's going through editing right now."
Kailyn told Wetpaint Entertainment via Twitter that her book is an autobiography "not so much about being a teen mom- more about living with an addict & absent father resulting in where I am now."
This gal has had a highly-publicized and stormy relationship with her mother, Suzi, who struggles with addiction. Meanwhile, Kailyn's father has been MIA her entire life, and she met him for the very first time on 16 and Pregnant. It will be interesting to learn more about this newly-married reality star's relationship with her parents, and how her upbringing influenced her own parenting skills.
Kailyn recently tweeted that fans will be "impressed" by the book and "won't expect what's coming," adding that she "dreams #PrideOverPity becomes a NY Times bestseller."
We have no doubt! If Farrah Abraham's seminal classic, My Teenage Dream Ended, can make the New York Times bestseller list, Kailyn definitely has a fighting chance. But only if she makes an accompanying album, obvs.
