Couples Therapy Will Show “More Human” Side of Farrah Abraham
We couldn't be more excited about Teen Mom star Farrah Abraham's upcoming stint on VH1's Couples Therapy. You know, despite the fact that she's appearing on the show all on her lonesome.
Apparently, Farrah will use the show as a vehicle to work on her relationship problems, and resident therapist, Dr. Jenn Berman, worked closely with her to get to the bottom of some serious issues. Issues like why Farrah feels the need to trap men in paddle boats.
Farrah's faced a lot of criticism for her participation on Couples Therapy, and Dr. Jenn admits that she even called in a body language expert to see if Farrah's relationship with DJ Brian Dawe was legit!
“We had a body language expert who came and did some exercises and she saw the picture [of Brian and Farrah] and she said, ‘This is a woman who is genuinely happy in the presence of this man,’” Dr. Jenn told The TV Page. “So to me it became less important that this therapy work I did with her was so authentic.”
Dr. Jenn seems convinced that Farrah was in desperate need of help, saying “I felt that she did such authentic therapy and this was a woman so in need of therapy that there was no question in my mind that we did great work."
The doc also says that television viewers will see a "more human side of Farrah," who apparently mused “I’ll do whatever you want me to do. I don’t want to live my life like this anymore. Something is really wrong and I am willing to do whatever you tell me to do.”
In other news, we may see a few of Farrah's ex boyfriends pop up during Couples Therapy, as Dr. Jenn says that "sometimes an ex-boyfriend or a parent or someone from a person’s past can give me insight."
