Help Mystic Grill Become a Real Restaurant — Matt Donovan Not Included
Always wanted your own vampire-friendly hangout to shoot pool and down vervain shooters a la The Vampire Diaries’ Mystic Grill? Well, you might be in luck! Some television-obsessed restaurateurs have taken to Kickstarter to raise money to build their very own Mystic Grill. Read on to find out more!
According to the message on the Kickstarter page, “We are bringing the Mystic Grill into reality. Come and be a part of our adventure in Covington Ga. aka Mystic Falls. The build out will have some of the same features as the Mystic Grill you have all come to know and love. Beautiful wood, stone and brick. An awesome bar where a bar stool sits dedicated to our friend Alaric Saltzman. You'll be able to sit in the booths and at the bar as some of your favorite characters have.” Sign us up!
So far, the project has only raised $285 of its $30,000 goal, but the month is young. (You have until Wednesday, January 29 to contribute.) Pledge benefits range from “a great big thank you” to a shirt that reads “Because of me, the Mystic Grill is real” to an exclusive dining experience on the restaurant’s rooftop deck. Unfortunately, it seems that blue-eyed busboy Matt Donovan (Zach Roerig) will not be part of the real-life Mystic Grill experience. Shame.
Do you think a real-life Mystic Grill is a good idea? Or are you afraid you might get compelled into ordering something pricey off of the menu? Sound off in the comments below!
Catch the next episode of The Vampire Diaries on Thursday, January 23 at 8 p.m. ET on the CW.
