Alison DiLaurentis is back, but is she still the same Ali we loved to hate? Spending a few years on run can really change a girl, and Pretty Little Liars star Sasha Pieterse is excited for fans to meet Ali 2.0.
“I love Alison, and the cool thing is, I never get bored because there’s so many different things that she does, but [this season] is obviously different,” Sasha told Wetpaint Entertainment at the ABC Family 25 Days of Christmas holiday event in New York City in December. “Alison has gone through a lot, so there’s going to be some changes in her. What has she been up to? Where has she been going? Why has she been hiding? All of those experiences have changed her in a way, and her dynamic with the girls is different, too. It’s going to be interesting to see how that turns out.”
You’re telling us! We’ve been waiting four seasons for Ali’s death to be solved, so when we saw the former Queen B alive in the Season 4 midseason finale, we were more than a little shocked. But we aren’t the only ones in shock — the Liars are too! How will they react to Ali being alive, and will they learn to trust her again? More importantly, will Ali ever been redeemed for her bad girl behavior?
“I don’t know,” Sasha told us. “There’s a lot of people she hurt, so it’s not going to be easy for her to change people’s minds. And right now, the girls are the only ones who know she’s alive — or so we think.”
So we think?! Obviously, someone knows about Ali’s dirty little secret — could it be Jason? — and while Sasha’s lips are sealed on that particular spoiler, she did reveal that fans don’t want to miss the “crazy and amazing” Season 4 finale.
“Marlene [King] did say that this is the season for answers, and you basically do find out every answer to everyone’s questions,” she said. “The season finale blew me away, so I’m really looking forward to fans getting to see it. It’s exciting because it’s crazy and amazing, but at the same time, it was simple, which is so great because on Pretty Little Liars, you don’t often see that.”
Sounds pretty epic to us! What do you think, PLL fans: Are you excited for Ali’s return this season? And do you think she can ever be redeemed? Sound off in the comments!
