Less than a week until The Originals returns with an all-new episode, and it’s shaping up to be a doozy! Check out this sneak peek from Season 1, Episode 10 (“Casket Girls”) and try not to get burned by Rebekah’s (Claire Holt) death glare. We dare you.
The scene is set on a French Quarter open-air shop where Rebekah is perusing a rack of dresses for the perfect Casket Girls Festival ensemble. She’s decidedly unimpressed with the selection, an irritation that only grows stronger when Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) tries to pull her into conversation.
“This festival might as well be in my honor. I need a proper costume, so bugger off,” Rebekah tells Marcel. Apparently, she’s still pissed that Marcel chose her big brother Klaus (Joseph Morgan) over her. When he tries to touch her, she pushes him away. “You made your choice. You and Klaus are best friends again. You’ve relinquished your right to touch me.”
Cue death glare from Rebekah, and an adorably apologetic look from Marcel. Ugh, stop melting our hearts, Marcel! We’re trying to be cross with you on Rebekah’s behalf. It seems Marcel won’t give up on working his way back into Rebekah’s good graces — until a phone call, presumably from Klaus, interrupts him. Rebekah is not impressed.
Might the phone call be about Davina’s disappearance from the Marcel/Klaus compound? According to the episode synopsis, “Elijah (Daniel Gillies) and Marcel form an unlikely alliance as Klaus sets his plan in motion to get Davina back.” Seems like wooing Rebekah might have to wait. That’s OK, though, the Original vamp has other things on her plate.
The synopsis tells us that “Rebekah sets her own plan in motion when she enlists the help of someone from Marcel’s past.” If we were Team Bromance, we’d watch our backs.
