Cynthia Bailey had a bit of a scare in 2013 when uterine fibroids left her tired, bloated, and unwilling to have sex, but after having the fibroids removed several months ago because her husband Peter Thomas toyed with leaving her if she didn’t get the issue under control, the Real Housewives of Atlanta star has really gotten her life back on track in more ways than one.
During a chat with Yo! Checka, Cyn opened up about her desire to get healthier post-fibroid surgery. “After my issue with fibroids I was inspired to take it a step further and just really get my healthy back,” Cynthia started off.
And part of getting her healthy back meant changing her diet. Instead of feasting on cake and wine, Cynthia partnered with GenoVive, a customized weight loss program that uses your DNA to help you shed some unwanted pounds. “I got together with GenoVive.com and they send me my food, I get my bags, I’m eating, I’m feeling good. I really feel like at this age — I’m getting a little up there — I just can’t afford to take my health for granted anymore.”
Even though analyzing your DNA to lose weight may seem a bit strange, Cynthia swears by the diet and says it really works for her because it is so tailored to her body. “GenoVive goes deep. The thing that I love about the whole DNA part of this program is that the food that I am eating is the food that works me...If you’re gonna manage your weight or be on any kind of diet, you want to make sure you’re on the right one and it’s working for you,” she concludes.
And as an added bonus Cyn says “the food actually tastes good!”
Eating right combined with regular visits to the gym has meant that Cynthia looks hotter than ever these days!
