It was the news heard round the nation (Bachelor Nation, that is), when Emily Maynard announced on January 7 that she is engaged to beau Tyler Johnson. We were so excited to hear about the Season 8 Bachelorette’s fourth engagement, we could hardly wait to start getting into the wedding planning details — and it seems we won’t have to!
As Emily gushed to Us Weekly, they’re likely going to be getting married sooner rather than later. “No point in waiting!" So, just what does that mean? An E! News insider says that she’s putting her money where her mouth is, and is already “in planning mode,” reportedly “moving quickly” toward a late spring wedding.
The insider says that Emily and Tyler, both 27, will likely get married in Charlotte. “Emily has so much style, this will definitely be a country chic wedding. Expect a lot of personal touches.”
As opposed to the three engagement rings she’s received from her other fiancés, Tyler presented Emily with a stack of five engagement rings, with one encircled with diamonds amid several others made up of pavé stones. Em was first spotted blinging out only hours after her announcement went public.
While we don’t know about her bridesmaids yet, the E! insider says that one person is for sure — her eight-year-old daughter, Ricki. “She’ll absolutely be standing up there with them,” the source says. Em told Us that Ricki “loves Tyler more than she likes me,” so we have no doubt they’re already well on their way to becoming a family.
And what about one final bachelorette moment for the two-time ABC franchise darling? The source says that while Tyler will “probably do a traditional bachelor party,” Em is more likely to do a “retreat with her friends, somewhere relaxing.”
Hey, maybe Catherine Giudici can help out, since she recently jetted to Miami with friends in preparations for her wedding to Sean Lowe. Maybe she could do it as a favor to Em for breaking up with him on The Bachelorette Season 8? Just a thought.
