With the pile of accolades Kate Winslet has already amassed in her impressive film career, it’s easy to forget that this lovely lady is still only 38 years old. But the actress has made it very clear that her most precious achievements have been her children Mia, 13, Joe, 10, and now her new baby boy, born on December 7, 2013.
This is the Oscar-winner’s first son with husband Ned RocknRoll, whom she married in December 2012. Ned, the nephew of billionaire tycoon Richard Branson, is clearly a free-spirited dude, having legally changed his last name to “Rocknroll.” But what did he and his movie star wife decide to name their first boy?
Wetpaint asked Viggle LIVE! users that very question during last night’s (January 8) airing of the actress’s 1997 breakout film, Titanic, and only a third of viewers correctly guessed the newborn’s unique name.
34 percent of users are obviously Kate Winslet megafans, having guessed rightly that the baby boy’s name is Bear (grr). However, 37 percent believed that the couple dubbed their son Axl Jack (that would be Fergie and Josh Duhamel’s son!), and 29 percent thought that they went with the more presidential title of Lincoln (the name Kristen Bell and Dax Shepherd chose for their daughter).
Sure, Bear is an eccentric first name, but Kate won’t be adding onto that with her hubby’s equally bizarre surname. In the February issue of Glamour UK, the actress explains that Bear will not take husband Ned RocknRoll's last name. “Of course we're not going to call it RocknRoll," she said at the time of the interview. "People might judge all they like, but I'm a f—king grown-up." We think Bear Winslet is a great name for this little A-list cub.
