Ciara Slams Media For “Creating Slander” Amid Pregnancy Rumors
R&B singer Ciara may be newly engaged, but the Atlanta musician is not particularly happy — with the media that is. Since news of her engagement, Ciara and fiancé Future have been under much scrutiny, with the media claiming that CiCi is secretly pregnant. Ciara has been pretty low-key about the whole thing until now, but she recently took to her official website, Only Ciara, to give the media a piece of her mind.
“My questions to people creating slander about people are: What stops you from thinking twice about trying to defame someone? What are you trying to gain?” CiCi asks on her blog. The singer goes on the comment about the way in which blog sites have turned her off from reading them because “The stories are going from cool and creative to pure drama” and she feels “people are using the platforms to exercise a false sense of power.”
Get ‘em, CiCi!
Near the end of her post, the singer addressed bloggers who have been attacking her and others like her with this simple saying:
“Dear Blogger, It's never worth it in the end when you sell your soul for a quick dollar, by creating bad stories about people. At some point, it will all reverse on you and you'll end up regretting all the trash you wrote or said about people. The universal friend ‘Karma’ has demonstrated this over and over again. I strongly encourage you to project more positivity into the universe. If Social Media is a world that's growing more massive by the day, why not use it to shed light?? Otherwise, you are merely contaminating our universe.”
