Demi Lovato Rants About Fake “Fans” On Twitter — Find Out Why!
When Demi Lovato says she’s taking time off, it means she’s really taking time off — especially when she’s got a tour coming up she needs to rest up for!
Fans blew up Demi’s Twitter account Wednesday night when they learned she wouldn’t be attending the People’s Choice Awards even though she was nominated in four categories. And when Demi logged in and saw their angry messages, she wasn’t impressed.
“D—n… Just hopped online to check Twitter and some ‘fans’ are being really mean,” she tweeted Wednesday.
“I’m not at the PCAs because as I have stated before, I’m taking as much time off this month as possible,” Demi continued. “I haven’t taken a substantial amount of time off in a long time and now I am. Thank you for those who voted and understand why I am away.”
As glamorous and fun as Hollywood events like award shows look from our comfy couches at home, we tend to forget that our favorite celebs are pretty much on the clock while they’re there. They might get to take home awesome gift bags, but they’re technically still at work — and work is something the “Neon Lights” singer has sworn off for the time being. Everyone needs time to rest!
“If it means anything, I’m still crossing my fingers!! Your support means EVERYTHING to me,” Demi added. “There are ‘fans’ who say they support me, then they hate on me, my personal life and my loved ones… And then there are my LOVATICS!! THEY are the BEST fans an artist could ever ask for… I LOVE YOU!!!”
And ultimately, Demi’s finger crossing paid off — she ended up winning the awards for Favorite Female Artist and Favorite Music Fan Following. Go Dems!
