Once Upon a Time Season 3
— and thankfully we will, with Rebecca Mader
poised to play the role
of the Wicked Witch
. But just how long is the hydrophobic gal going to stick around once the magical series returns from its long winter hiatus on March 9? Read on to find out.
While we personally know exactly what we want from the Wicked Witch, there haven’t been any juicy spoilers leaked about her role on the show. All we know is that in the promo for the second half of Season 3, we get our first glimpse at the new big bad. One helpful hint, however, is that the title for Season 3, Episode 16 pretty much promises a good, long look at the witchy villainess, since it’s titled “It’s Not Easy Being Green.”
At the Television Critics Association winter press tour on Friday, January 17, ABC entertainment president Paul Lee took the stage to talk about the future of all ABC shows, most importantly Once Upon a Time. Thankfully the TV exec had some Wicked Witch spoilers up his sleeve.
“The Wicked Witch of the West will be a big part of the @OnceABC back 9 episodes, says Paul Lee. #TCA14,” TV Guide Magazine tweeted from the event. That’s very promising, especially since we’re in need of a new big bad to rise up and give our fairy tale characters a hard time.
It sounds like we’re in it for the long-haul with the Wicked Witch — and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
