The Kardashians

Kris Jenner on Bruce Sex Change Rumor, Joan Rivers Calling Nori “Ugly”

If you want to properly keep up with the Kardashians (and the Jenners, too), we don’t think there’s any better source than Kris Jenner. She’s the momager, after all, so she sees all. Well, Entertainment Tonight recently checked in with the dowager empress of reality TV herself, who weighed in on the most recent controversies surrounding her family.

The first topic is the rumor that Bruce is undergoing a sex change, based on allegedly going under the knife January 19 to have his Adam’s apple shaved down. While Kris acknowledges that Bruce indulges his feminine side by enjoying the occasional manicure (with clear polish, she adds) — she dismisses the sex change rumors by making a general comment about tabloid news narrowed at her fami;y.

“Ninety-nine percent of the stuff in the tabloids is made up,” she says. “The bottom line is, we sell magazines,” she explains. After brushing off that rumor, ET’s Cheryl Woodcock asked the matriarch what she thought of Joan Rivers’s nasty comments about baby North West during a recent Fashion Police bit.

Kris was fairly neutral about Joan (whose show shares a network with the Kardashians), but the proud grandma quickly defended Nori saying, “She’s really cute. North is beautiful. She’s got a sweet little spirit, and she’s the perfect child.”

Well, while Kris is obviously biased, we’re hard-pressed to disagree with her based on the photos we’ve seen. As for Joan, she’s taken plenty of flak for her comments without Kris piling on. In fact, the comedian recently took to Twitter to defend herself.

“I'm a comic. Please stop pulling my jokes out of context. I love Kim, North, and all the Kardashians. So shut up already!”
