Hours after Justin Bieber was arrested on January 23 in Miami Beach, Florida for DUI and drag racing (among other charges), Justin’s dad Jeremy headed to Twitter to address the unfortunate turn of events.
“Love @justinbieber @JazmynBieber @JaxonBieber #reallife,” he tweeted late in the day January 23, including his daughter Jazmyn and son Jaxon in the message as well.
Jeremy shared a more pointed message the following morning. “I can protect my kids, but I can’t protect them from you and your lies. Believe in the truth not in the lies of the enemy. #reallife,” he wrote January 24.
#mysuperstarsonwasarrested is not yet trending.
The 38-year-old dad was reportedly at the scene when Justin got arrested early yesterday; TMZ claims Jeremy actually helped blocked off a residential street so his son could dabble in drag racing.
Jeremy’s first tweet came around the same time Justin’s manager, Scooter Braun, took to Twitter to also share his feels about his client’s brush with the law. Like Jeremy, Scooter presented an attitude of moving forward in a positive way and of supporting Justin no matter what.
“Love you and I will act in the manner of someone who truly cares,” he wrote.
As of publishing, Justin’s mother, Pattie Mallette, friend and fellow arrestee Khalil, and Justin himself remain silent on social media.
