Pretty Little Liars Recap: Season 4, Episode 17 — Ezra Is Board Shorts?
Easy as pie! In this week's Pretty Little LiarsSeason 4, Episode 17 (“Bite Your Tongue”), Spencer is a real pill, Aria probably needs to squeeze a stress ball or something, and Ezra indulges his sweet tooth (get it — tooth"? Because of the dentist scenes?).
Wherein Spencer Doesn't Approve of Ezra's Food and Drink Choices
Wait — so did we just get the end of Spandrew before it even begins? Sure, we love us some Spoby, but she sometimes needs someone a bit more adorkable, like Andrew. And did we just find out that Ezra is Board Shorts? It sure seems that way, given that bottle of Board Shorts Ale. Drink up, Ezra!
Wherein Aria Does Not Like It When People Carry Boxes
Mike Montgomery is a popular guy these days: First Hanna, and now Mona, much to Aria's chagrin. Speaking of which, what is this creepy counselor, Jesse, up to exactly? And we see that Aria is done solving problems with her words, as she lets Maggie's boxes have it. Down goes the adorable framed photo of Malcolm!
Was anyone else thrilled to hear the mention of Hanna's ex-boyfriend Sean after all these years? We kind of miss the guy — or we at least were concerned that we should send an Amber alert out for him. So who drugged Hanna at the dentist office? And we're wondering if we can really trust Hanna's new pal, Officer Sexy — sorry, we mean Officer Holbrook.
Wherein Emily Almost Finds a New Use for Scissors
Emily finds herself stuck in the classroom while she's helping with the school play, meaning we're pretty sure this is the 2,378th time someone on this show has gotten locked in a room. Luckily, she's saved by her dad, but the poor guy isn't in such great shape himself.
— Sure, Ezra is looking more suspicious than ever these days. But we seem to be getting more and more hints about Wren being "A." For example, the Hart and the Hunstman is a pub with a British flag on the wall. And Wren would certainly know a thing or two about how to drug Hanna at the dentist's office.
— What's up with the name "C. Cavanaugh" having been written on the dental sign-in sheet? Is this Chris Cavanaugh, whom we met from Jenna's school for the blind? Or is this a mysterious relative of Toby's? Could CeCe be related to Toby?
— Who does Ezra text about the Alison "setback"? And is Ezra really Board Shorts? We still have a hard time believing it. He didn't even seem to want that boysenberry pie, right?
— What is Mona up to? Frankly, we're worried she might have snagged something from Aria's room when she dropped by for Mike's rager. But why is she having closed-door chats with Ezra? And why is she suddenly so keen on Mike? Okay, fine, Mike is pretty darn cute, so we kinda get it — but still.
— Based on the map at the end, can we assume that "A" knows where Wilden's boat is — along with where Ali and CeCe were at, given the "A" and "C" in the bottom corner?
Other Things That Need to Be Discussed:
— Welcome back, Tippi the bird! Okay, that's it — just one thing to be discussed this week.
