Amber Portwood Spends Time With Daughter Leah After Early Prison Release
Amber Portwood has been out of prison for almost four months, and you better believe this Teen Mom star is making up for lost time. Amber was incarcerated for more than a year thanks to opting out of her drug rehab program (girlfriend was addicted to Fentanyl patches), and she barely saw her daughter, Leah, while in jail. This little lady currently lives with her dad, Gary Shirley (who has full custody), but he's is more than willing to let Amber and Leah get their bond on.
While we aren't sure about the specifics of Amber's visitation schedule with Leah, we do know that they've been spending plenty of one-on-one time together. Check out these recent pictures of Ambs and her mini-me that were posted to Facebook — they look adorable!
It's great to see Amber doing so well post-jail, and hopefully this proud momma will keep her life on track and follow through with her plans to go back to school and open her own drug rehab program. This girl is a great influence on Teen Mom fans who struggle with addiction, and her story is inspirational to say the least. Sure, going to jail wasn't Amber's proudest moment, but Leah will grow up knowing that her mom faced her addiction head-on and did everything she could to overcome it!
In other news, do you think Gary should let Amber have partial custody of their kiddo, or do you think it's in Leah's best interests to live with her dad full-time until Amber's had more time to adjust to life after jail? Weigh in below!
