Kenya Moore Defends Criticism of Kandi Burruss and Phaedra Parks’ Weight
Kenya Moore is all about living a healthy lifestyle, working out on the regular and not indulging in too many unhealthy meals, but some of her co-stars from The Real Housewives of Atlanta don’t share the beauty queen’s strict point of view on diet and exercise.
During last season of RHoA Kenya got some serious flak for saying that Phaedra Parks wasn’t fit enough to be releasing a Donkey Booty DVD (something Kenya later emulated with her own Stallion Booty efforts) and this season viewers called her out for saying that Kandi Burruss could afford to “skip a few meals” after the songstress was late to NeNe Leakes’ event because she had a hankering for some Chick-fil-A.
Each Friday Kenya invites her Twitter followers to ask her ten questions, which she will then answer, and last Friday one follower wanted to know why the 43-year-old puts down women who “aren’t thin.” After said follower clarified that she was referring to the “many times” Kenya has slammed Kandi and Phaedra for not being “fit”, Kenya crafted her response.
“@MarisolErives be very clear... Phaedra is/was out of shape. Never should have done a workout video. @kandi was playful not putting her down,” she shot back.
So basically Kenya is saying she called Phae-Phae fat because in her opinion the mom of two young sons is “out of shape”, while her dig at Kandi’s eating habits was meant to be a joke, so we shouldn’t take it seriously.
Something tells us that Phaedra has bigger things to worry about aside from what Kenya thinks of her body, but Kandi has already responded to the criticism, showing the former Miss USA that she’s most definitely not ashamed of her body.
