Philip Seymour Hoffman’s Death: Four Arrested in Connection With His Overdose

Over the weekend, the world was in shock when we found out Philip Seymour Hoffman had died of an apparent heroin overdose. And now, four people have been arrested who police believe are responsible for selling the drugs that ended Philip’s life, according to the New York Post.

After receiving a tip that Philip had purchased drugs in a New York City apartment, police obtained a search warrant and raided the building to find 350 glassine envelopes of heroin on the property — although they did not have the same ace of spades stamp that were on the bags found at the scene of Philip’s death.

Robert Vineberg, 57, and Thomas Kushman, 48, were charged with felony drug possession, while Max Rosenblum, 22, and Juliana Luchkiw, 22, were charged with misdemeanor drug possession.

Philip’s body was discovered at his apartment the morning of February 2, and is believed to be of a heroin overdose, although his autopsy remains incomplete. Over 50 bags of heroin were found in Philip’s apartment at the time of his death.

Whether or not police are able to catch the dealers who sold drugs to Philip, we hope his friends and family are able to heal and find peace.
