Downton Abbey Season 4: What Happens in the February 16 Episode?
February 16 marks the penultimate episode of Downton AbbeySeason 4, meaning just a mere three hours remain in our viewing of Season 4. But what a fast-paced, action-packed three hours they will be.
Keep reading for a heads up of what to expect in the February 16 episode (which is just an hour). We’ve divided up the news as centered around main characters. If you want all of the details from this week’s installment, we’d be happy to fill you in. See, we watched the episode way back last year when it aired in the U.K., which means plenty of spoilers for you to enjoy at your leisure.
Lady Mary After getting down and dirty with Charles Blake (Julian Ovenden) last week, Mary (Michelle Dockery) is more emotionally conflicted than ever. To complicate matters even more, Lord Gillingham (Tom Cullen) arrived on the scene. That means two eager suitors — not counting Evelyn Napier (Brendan Patricks), because why would we ever count Evelyn? — and one very confused young widow.
Lady Edith After deciding to not have an abortion, a pregnant Edith (Laura Carmichael) must figure out her next step as an unmarried mother-to-be in 1922 England. Needless to say, her choices are few. Aunt Rosamund (Samantha Bond) offers her advice as does a surprising new face at the table.
Tom Branson Last week Tom Branson (Allen Leech) bumped into a new pretty face, Sarah Bunting (Daisy Lewis). Expect to see more of the village schoolmistress during this week’s episode as she just happens to run into Tom again and again and again.
Cousin Rose Rose (Lily James) has spent the better part of the last few episodes hell-bent on making a go at a relationship with Jack Ross (Gary Carr) despite the complications of an interracial relationship in 1922 England. Tonight she’ll make a major move that may not end the way she hopes (does anything ever?).
Character Death! We don’t want to spoil anything for you (well, we do, but in another article) but take heed: A character will die by the end of this episode.
