Kyle Richards Responds to Brandi Glanville’s Claim That She Started Lisa Vanderpump’s Bankruptcy Rumor
Just when it seemed there might be hope for Real Housewives of Beverly Hills stars Lisa Vanderpump and Brandi Glanville to patch things up, things get much worse between them, with Brandi claiming that Lisa and husband Ken were once on the verge of bankruptcy. Brandi claims Kyle Richards had told her this — and now Kyle is responding.
On her podcast earlier this month, Brandi mentioned that Lisa isn't open about her past. "On our show, there are certain people who want to project this perfect persona like there’s nothing wrong in the world," Brandi says. "Like, Lisa Vanderpump used to live deep in the Valley and was filing for bankruptcy — and she doesn’t want to talk about that. That’s interesting to me."
When Lisa got word of this, she wasn't happy and referred to Brandi's comments as "slander and damaging." So Brandi explained that she was just repeating what Kyle had told her. "I think [Lisa and Ken are] really upset about the bankruptcy thing, but I was just repeating something Kyle had told me," Brandi said.
Now, Kyle is explaining her side of things. "In response to Brandi's comment re: Lisa & Ken.... Brandi must have misunderstood an innocuous conversation we had in which we discussed the fact that Ken himself had made a speech at a party in their home where he said that he and Lisa had owned businesses and properties in Calabasas and discussed the course of their journey," Kyle writes on Facebook.
"This was not 'classified' information," Kyle continues. "The other claim made did not come up in this conversation and is not something I have heard. For all the issues that Lisa and I continue to work through, I have tremendous respect for the hard work and success they have achieved in their life together." Presumably, the "other claim" Kyle refers to is about Lisa and Ken's supposed bankruptcy concern.
Whew! This is a ton of drama. But we respect Kyle for providing a very level-headed explanation to hopefully clear everything up.
