Grey's Anatomy

Kevin McKidd to Direct Another Episode of Grey’s Anatomy, Gets Support From Scandal’s Dan Bucatinsky

If you’re a fan of Kevin McKidd’s (Owen Hunt) directing work on Grey’s Anatomy, you’re in luck: Kevin will be stepping behind the camera again to direct Episode 19 — and his work is endorsed by Scandal’s Dan Bucatinsky!

“On set for episode 1019 @GreysAnatomy written by @JoanRater w/ my bud @TheRealKMcKidd directing,” Dan tweeted on February 18 alongside a BFF selfie of himself with Kevin. “#Backtogetheragain.”

First of all, we love the fact that the Scandal and Grey’s Anatomy stars are pals — but in somewhere as crazy as Shondaland, the actors better stick together! Also, maybe Kevin and Dan can work together to make a Grey’s/Scandal crossover happen? It’s a longshot, but we’d appreciate the effort.

Kevin’s an old pro when it comes to directing. This will be his seventh time in the director’s chair since he started working on Greys, including an episode from earlier this season, so we have no doubt that our favorite show is in very capable hands.

We don’t know much about Episode 19 so far, so we have no idea what to expect. Here’s hoping Kevin posts plenty of pics from the set this time around so we can put some clues together about the future episode!

Excited for Kevin to direct again? Sound off below!
