Real Housewives of New Jersey Star Accused of Stealing Designs
It looks like Teresa Giudice isn’t the only New Jersey housewife in hot water!
The reality brawler’s pal, Kim DiPaolo, is at the center of a new lawsuit that claims she’s a big fat thief — of ideas, at least.
TMZ reports that Kim is in big trouble with jewelry designer Constantino Frangopolous, who claims the reality star convinced him to lend her pieces to wear on the show, only to later find out she’d committed intellectual property theft against him. Constantino reportedly made a deal with Kim which allowed her to sport his work on RHONJ in exchange for her promoting his line. While some of Constantino’s work did get camera time, the arrangement quickly went awry.
After Kim wore some of Constantino’s pieces on the show, she allegedly stole the designs she liked best and had bootleg versions made to sell in her retail stores and through her website.
While the two never had a formal contract, Constantino has launched lawsuits against his former business partner and Bravo, seeking compensation for lost income.
Kim has, thus far, made no comment about these allegations.
Do you believe that Kim really stole Constantino’s designs, or is this just a ploy for publicity on his part? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section!
