Is Keeping Up With the Kardashians Ruining Kendall Jenner’s Modeling Career?
Kendall Jenner’s recent rise in the fashion industry has been nothing short of remarkable, but is her status as a reality star reaching from achieving bigger goals?
Fashion industry insiders reveal that Kendall’s reputation is being damaged by her ties to reality TV and many are even advising the 18-year-old model to ditch her role on Keeping Up with the Kardashians if she wants to keep her fashion career moving forward.
“She was advised that continuing to appear on reality television will diminish interest in her as a model. The problem also is scheduling. Kendall is contractually obligated to appear on the show and there is a huge time commitment involved,” a source reveals to RadarOnline.com.
“In the past, she has had to pass on modeling shoots because shooting for the television show takes precedence.”
While Kendall’s older sisters have certainly made a name for themselves as spokemodels for everything from makeup to diet pills, their side jobs are all inextricably tied to their roles as reality stars.
Although big brother Rob has started a career of his own far from the prying eye of the KUWTK cameras with his sock line, Arthur George, he still felt the need to distance himself from the world of reality tv — and his family — to keep his career on the rise.
Do you think Kendall’s appearances on Keeping Up with the Kardashians could hurt her future chances in the fashion industry? Should she follow her brother’s lead and distance herself from the family?
