Pretty Little Liars Season 4 Finale Spoilers: “Lives May or May Not Be Destroyed”
Who better to give us the deets on the Pretty Little LiarsSeason 4 finale than Ian Harding (Ezra Fitz), whose character seems to be at the center of most of this half-season’s shenanigans. What did Ian have to tell Us Weekly about the March 18th episode?
Ian teased that “lives may or may not be destroyed” in the climactic episode of the season. Not very committal, we admit, but we’re inclined to err towards the former suggestion: lives will be destroyed, specifically, Ezra’s life. Ian was frustratingly vague when he spoke to E! Online earlier this month about whether or not he would be back for Season 5: "I don't know what I'll be doing next season," he said, implying that things in Rosewood will never be the same after whatever goes down in the Season 4 finale. "They just can't after what happens."
Ezra’s fate has always been precarious. Even before we found out he dated Alison before she disappeared and has been writing a true crime novel about her absence, he was always one Ezria rumor away from getting fired and possibly arrested for his relationship with a student. This could still happen and, given Aria’s emotional display in his classroom during last week’s episode, we wouldn’t be surprised if the other shoe finally dropped on that long-standing storyline.
Whatever happens in the Season 4 finale, it will be a roller coaster of a ride, according to Ian. He told Us Weekly: “There are multiple twists in the last chunk of the episode.” So, it ain’t over til the fat lady sings — or, until “A” says it is, at any rate.
