Katy Perry Helps Deliver a Baby — In A Living Room!
If you thought Katy Perry was multitalented, just wait ‘til you hear her latest accomplishment: Wednesday, Katy officially hit midwife status. No, seriously.
“Finally you can add ‘helps deliver babies in living rooms’ to my resume!” Katy announced on Twitter. “It’s been a miracle of a day… Auntie Katy aka Stylist Auntie.”
And while we’re not sure who the lucky new mom is, we’re guessing that since Katy referred to herself as “Auntie,” it’s her sister, Angela Hudson, she’s talking about. Um, can we be that baby? We would love to have Katy Perry as our aunt.
We’re super impressed at Katy’s skill (and ability not to get grossed out by the many… interesting visuals that come with a baby being born). Helping out in a hospital room surrounded by doctors and nurses in case anything goes wrong is one thing. Lending a hand in a living room? That’s some Dr. Quinn: Medicine Woman stuff.
We’re glad to see Katy’s staying busy after her reported split with longtime beau John Mayer earlier this week — even though it sounds like it was her decision to end the relationship, breakups are never easy for either party.
In the meantime, Katy now totally has a backup plan in case this whole singing thing doesn’t work out. Maybe Katy can distract expectant moms from labor pains by throwing concerts in their delivery rooms? We’d sign on for that.
