We didn’t think Norman Reedus (Daryl Dixon) could get any more appealing than he already is, but then we saw him do this televised interview with NBC New York while holding an adorable puppy up for adoption. If we’re being perfectly honest, we had a bit of trouble paying attention to what Norman was saying about this Sunday’s episode of The Walking Dead because the pup was just so darn cute, but we did manage to catch a few highlights.
For starters, we know that Daryl is currently with Beth Greene (Emily Kinney), and even though he’s put the kibosh on a possible romance between these two in the past, he was a bit more coy when asked about it this time around. “Never say never. I mean she’s a cute girl,” he quipped with that trademark sly grin.
“I would have hooked up with everybody already if it was up to me,” he continued. He wouldn't dish anymore about the Daryl/Beth dynamic specifically, but he did praise Season 4, Episode 12: “Still,” which is scheduled to air on March 2 at 9 p.m. ET.
“You never say never, but I will say that the episode coming up this Sunday is amazing,” he gushed. And while the NBC hosts admitted to not loving the fact that Team Prison is broken up into so many different factions, Norman defended the storytelling mechanism, noting, “I like getting into individual stories of the characters. I think to find the reasons why they fight for what they fight for and why they don’t; it’s really interesting to me.”
And what can we expect from Daryl specifically this week? “He sort of found his own person in these other people, and having that taken from him he’s starting fresh again and he’s starting from a very depressing place.”
