“I’m really grateful to be here with Esquire and the images look amazing. Everyone here has been so great to me, so I’m very thankful,” Ian says in the video, which mainly features him being super dynamic for the shoot. Ian obviously learned a thing or two from his days as a model because his charisma on camera knows no bounds. In the course of the shoot, he manages to get in the following actions:
“As a local Louisiana boy, to be given this honor of standing on that stage as Grand Marshal of my favorite Krewe and parade was without a doubt a dream,” Ian wrote. “I mean, I went to my first Mardi Gras when I was one year old so here I was 34 years later, just thinking, ‘Wow, wow, wow!’” The actor tossed TVD-themed Mardi Gras beads to screaming fans, hung with Waldo, and even tried his hand at trombone during the epic festivities — all while looking exceedingly dapper in a three-piece suit, bow-tie, fedora, and TVD necklace. We love how passionately this man lives his life!
