Grey’s Anatomy: For Which Other 2004 Medical Drama Did Patrick Dempsey Audition?

It's hard to imagine anyone else being nearly as McDreamy as Patrick Dempsey, but if you can believe it, the Grey's Anatomy star could have been cast in another medical show that started in the 2004-2005 TV season.

We asked Viggle LIVE! users if they knew the other doctor drama for which Patrick auditioned that season, and the vast majority of you nailed the answer — 82 percent correctly guessing House M.D.

Patrick Dempsey tried out for the role of Dr. Robert Chase — a part that eventually went to Jesse Spencer.

The other 18 percent of votes were split between CBS's
Dr. Vegas and NBC's Medical Investigation. (Perhaps so few of you voted for those choices because those shows were so short-lived!)

Coincidentally, the man who became the titular doc in Dr. Vegas — Rob Lowe — did so after turning down the role of Derek Shepherd in Grey's Anatomy.
