Ke$ha Exits Rehab After Two Months of Treatment For an Eating Disorder (VIDEO)
Ke$ha’s back, y’all! Two months after entering rehab for an eating disorder, Ke$ha’s officially checked out and back in action.
The now-redheaded singer took to Twitter Thursday night to make the big announcement after first posting a photo of herself on a plane. “Happy to be back!” she wrote. “Feeling healthy & working on tons of new music! I can’t thank my fans enough for all the love and support u have given me.”
After checking into a Chicago rehab center in January, Ke$ha ultimately decided to extend her stay a month later in order to “get her health back on track” — although it did mean she had to cancel tour dates.
Ke$ha’s mom, Pebe Sebert, also entered rehab to deal with the stress of the situation, blaming producer Dr. Luke for the majority of Ke$ha’s body image issues. She claimed the music mogul (and manager David Sonenberg) demanded that Ke$ha lose weight through any means necessary, which took a major toll on the “We Are Who We Are” singer’s already fragile self-esteem.
We’re glad Ke$ha’s feeling better now and hope she stays that way — two months in rehab later and we’re still obsessed with “Timber.”
