Mad Men star Elisabeth Moss graces the cover of New York Magazine's March 10 issue — though what she's wearing (or not wearing, as the case may be) helps her prove that she is not Peggy Olson.

"I don't actually work in advertising in the '60s. I'm an actor," she tells the magazine, the cover for which shows her wearing nothing but barely-concealing denim overalls.

She elaborates: "I'm just a normal person who worries and stresses about stupid s—t. I like to sleep in. I like sushi. I love what I do. I think acting is super-fun. I don't think it's something super-serious … Acting is not stupid, but it's a very strange profession, honestly. My job is to get up, and get dressed in someone else's clothes, and go and pretend that I'm someone else. Who does that? Nobody does that. Strippers and actors do that."

The 31-year-old four-time Emmy nominee also talks about her newfound fame with the magazine — that she is listed second in Mad Men's opening credits, that her Golden Globes tablemate Helen Mirren told her, "I know who the f—k you are"; and that she was excited to see her own name as one of the answers in a recent game of Catch Phrase.

But despite it all, Elisabeth is not obsessed with how her star rises: "Nobody, unless you're an a—hole, should sit around thinking, I want to be more famous and win more awards. That's a horrible person."
