American Idol

Watch CJ Harris Sing “Can’t You See” in American Idol 2014 Top 11 — March 12, 2014

It’s hard to believe that American Idol started almost two months ago, but here we are watching the contestants fight for a spot on the summer tour! On tonight’s episode (March 12), the 11 remainders contenders will show us their true artistry by taking on “Songs From the Cinema.” We’re actually more excited by this theme than we have been in awhile — so much so that we even picked our own choices for them to sing!

Next to take the stage is C.J. Harris, who really needs to deliver a phenomenal performance this week. While he continues to grow week after week, the judges aren’t convinced that he can put his own artistic spin on these covers. He decides to take on “Can’t You See” from the 2001 crime drama Blow, which actually earns him a standing ovation from the judges!

“I think you just picked and sang your way back to the forefront of this competition,” says Harry. “That’s the CJ that we heard on the first day. That was very, very strong.”

“That was killer, man,” add Keith. “It’s one of those things: We pick a theme week and you gotta find a song. But you gotta be who you are within whatever the context we throw at you. You completely nailed that. I know exactly who you are!

Do you think CJ deserves to make it to the Top 10? Sound off in the comments!
