Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

Are the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Fake Friendships Putting the Show in Real Trouble?

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast keeps its audience coming back for more with its potent mix of drama and designer clothing, but are the ladies’ superficial (and often fake) friendships keeping them from achieving higher ratings?

A source for claims that the manufactured drama and friendships on the show are testing the patience of fans, and now producers are giving the new cast members an ultimatum: get friendly or get out.

Producers want the new cast members of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills to be friends with the ladies,” reveals an RHOBH insider. “These aren’t true friendships and it’s all for the show. It’s time that changed. With Carlton Gebbia and Kim Richards on their way out, producers have asked the current cast for a list of names of their close friends that would be interested on joining the show.”

While it seems unlikely that any of the current cast members are going to go from colleagues to close friends, Lisa Vanderpump and Yolanda Foster are reportedly both hoping to convince Mohamed Hadid’s new fianceé, Shiva Safai, to join forces with them on the show.

“Despite being divorced from Mohammed, Yolanda encouraged him to marry Shiva,” says Radar’s source.

“Lisa would love to have Shiva on the show because they are friends, and as viewers know, she isn’t popular with other ladies and could use another ally!”

Do you think the show would benefit from more real-life friendships, or do you like the current format? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section!
