The Voice 2014: Music List From the Season 6 Battle Rounds — March 17, 2014

The first night of The Voice Season 6 Battle Rounds started with a bang as we saw highly energetic performances from many of the talented vocalists. The winners of last night’s battles (noted with *) advanced to the Knockout Rounds, while the “Steal” option saved a couple singers (marked with **) from elimination. In fact, the performances were so good, three of the four coaches exercised their steal options.

With a mix of soul, pop, and country, all the contestants were pushed to make a lasting impression. Here’s are the songs the artists went to battle with last night:

1. “Ain’t Too Proud to Beg” by The Temptations (performed by Biff Gore** and TJ Wilkins*)
2. “It Goes Like This” by Thomas Rhett (performed by Jake Worthington* and Lexi Luca)
3. “My Kind of Love” by Emeli Sandé (performed by Dani Moz * and DeShawn Washington)
4. “Whenever I Call You ‘Friend’” by Stevie Nicks and Kenny Loggins (performed by Kat Perkins* and Patrick Thomson **)
5. “Do What U Want” by Lady Gaga and Christina Aguilera (performed by Paula DeAnda and Sisaundra Lewis*)
6. “Higher Love” by Steve Winwood (performed Jake Barker** and Stevie Jo*)

What did you think of last night’s song choices? Tell us below!
