Not only is Emily Kinney (Beth Greene) a talented actress, but the 28-year-old is also a gifted singer. Sure, we’ve seen and heard The Walking Dead star belt out her fair share of tunes on the AMC show, but this time Em’s vocal stylings have nothing to do with zombies.
Several months ago she released her second EP, Expired Love, and it was re-released just yesterday, March 18, with several more songs included. We’re thrilled to report that Expired Love is already making its mark on iTunes, Amazon, and more. Congrats Em!
The Nebraska native has been keeping her Twitter followers and fans up-to-date on the album’s success thus far, first letting everyone know that it was doing super-well on iTunes. “I'm on the iTunes pop chart! Not bad company!! #ExpiredLove,” she tweeted today, March 19, along with a still of her album on the charts alongside offerings from Frank Ocean, Christina Perri, and more.
The album is also performing exceptionally well on Amazon, landing in the impressive number three spot on the singer/songwriter chart. Talk about a great feat!
What's more? We recently heard Emily bring her musical talents to The Walking Dead once again and we were totally blown away! In Season 4, Episode 13, “Alone” Beth plays the piano and sings a song in the funeral home/house while Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) listens. What’s that song Beth was singing you ask? Why it's none other than, a cover of “Be Good”, a song originally by Waxahatchee. Waxahatchee is an indie folk band named after a creek of the same name in Alabama.
Did you catch that awesome song in “Still”? Are you a fan of the tune? Tell us your thoughts below!
The Walking Dead Season 4 airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
