While Season 4 winner Carrie Underwood and hubby/former NFL hockey player Mike Fisher delayed plans for baby-making in 2013, the mag is reporting that they’re hoping to start their family this year!
“Mike and Carrie hoped to get pregnant in 2013, but they decided to put it off,” an insider dished to Life & Style. “During the holidays they told friends and family that 2014 was going to be the year they had a baby. They are both finally ready now.”
As Life & Style noted, 2013 was probably out due to Carrie’s insanely busy schedule. After concluding her 114-date Blown Away tour last June, she went on to host the Country Music Awards as well as reprise the role of Maria in The Sound of Music Live.
Both Mike and Carrie seem to have warm fuzzies about how the other will do once they become parents.
“When we have kids it’s going to be wonderful,” Carrie told the mag, adding that Mike is “going to be the best dad ever.”
Mike reciprocated by saying, “If she treats her kids half as good as she treats the dogs, they’ll be in great shape.”
Despite some bad buzz regarding her acting chops in The Sound of Music Live, Carrie’s 12-year-old castmate seems to think she’ll be a natural when it comes to motherhood.
"She was so nurturing. If we had trouble, she would talk to us,” said fellow actress Sophia Caruso. “She was like a mom to us!”
One thing we can almost guarantee — that will be one beautiful baby. We hope to hear some news soon!
