Our prayers have officially been answered. No, Farrah Abraham hasn't gifted the internet with a follow-up to her latest music video (sigh, we wish), but even better? MTV just dropped the news that their critically acclaimed docu-drama — which recently proved to lower teenage birthrate in America — 16 and Pregnant, is coming back for a fifth season of 12 episodes on April 14. Fresh after the 90-minute season finale of Teen Mom 2 on April 13. Our bodies are ready.
16 and Pregnant launched the reality television careers of Amber Portwood, Maci Bookout and Jenelle Evans (to name a few), and chronicles the lives of young moms who became unexpectedly pregnant as sweet sixteenagers. Each episode traditionally stars a different girl, and this season promises to be even more dramatic, emotional, exciting, and filled with unfortunate maternity fashion than usual. Blessed!
The Ashley's Reality Roundup has already confirmed six girls who are reportedly starring on the show, including Madison, an Illinois native who got pregnant with her daughter while still in high school. According to The Ashley, Madison (aka Maddy) is no longer with her baby daddy, Cody, and to make matters worse, it doesn't look like she has that much support from her family. In a sneak peek from MTV, Madison sits down with her mom (who has a newborn of her own!) for some real talk, and this grandma-to-be lays down the law.
“I’m giving you a month to stay here after the baby’s born, 'cause that's the hardest time,” Madison's mom tells her. "But after that you have to go. There's no room and it's not fair to everybody else in the house. We have to go with our other options, and that's either you going down to live with Cody or you going down to live with your dad."
Yikes, talk about tough love. We have a feeling Madison's episode is going to be an emotional roller coaster full of ugly-crying and binge-eating. By which we mean, we'll be sobbing / stuffing our face with Cheetos throughout the entire thing.
