The Neighbors Exclusive Sneak Peek — George Takei Returns! (VIDEO)
The culture clashes in the "otherworldly" New Jersey suburb on ABC's The Neighbors have tickled TV viewers' funny bones all season long — and as this exclusive clip shows, the Season 2 laughs aren't stopping any time soon!
In the episode airing this Friday, March 28 — titled "Close Encounters of the Bird Kind" — Star Trek veteran George Takei returns as the father of alien Larry Bird (Simon Templeman), who calls in to check on what his son and grandson Reggie Jackson (Tim Ho) have learned from us earthlings.
"Women are going to talk — a lot," Reggie starts, excitedly. "And most of it's going to be about their problems. Under no circumstances should you try to solve those problems. Just nod, say 'That sounds hard' as many times as possible, and then buy them tapas … They love tapas! Makes them feel like they're traveling even though they're just at a strip mall."
But this kind of anthropological research doesn't sit well with Reggie's grandpa.
"Do you know how much these calls cost?" he yells. "You could not be more out-of-network!"
Yikes! Looks like Larry and Reggie better send a fruit basket cross-galaxy to smooth things over with their elder!
Be sure to catch the out-of-this-world comedy when it airs Fridays at 8:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
