The Walking Dead Season 4 Finale: Norman Reedus and Others Thank Fans!

The Walking Dead Season 4 concluded last night with Episode 16: “A”, and although one particular sequence saw Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) take a deadly bite out of Joe’s (Jeff Kober) neck to protect his son Carl Grimes (Chandler Riggs), as a whole the hour actually ended on a positive note with Rick, Carl, Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus), and Michonne (Danai Gurira) reuniting with Glenn Rhee (Steven Yeun), Tara Chambler (Alanna Masterson), Abraham Ford (Michael Cudlitz), Dr. Eugene Porter (Josh McDermitt), Rosita Espinosa (Christian Serratos), Bob Stookey (Larry Gilliard Jr.), Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green), and Maggie Greene (Lauren Cohan).

Yes, the reunion took place in a dark train car from which no one can escape, but if there’s anything we’ve learned from TWD it’s that beggars can’t be choosers, so we’ll take this reunion and be satisfied with it. Plus, Rick clearly doesn’t plan on staying put for long, considering the last line of the ep (which he uttered) was “They’re screwing with the wrong people.”

Last night’s finale broke ratings records and made Twitter go crazy. Interspersed in the hundreds of thousands of fan tweets, the cast (past and present!) reflected on a great season, thanked their legions of fans, and even got psyched for what’s to come in Season 5. Check out our roundup of cast reactions to the finale below!

The Walking Dead Season 5 premieres in October 2014 on AMC.
