Are you caught up on Star-Crossed yet? The CW sci-fi romantic drama is becoming a sleeper hit, with rising ratings since its mid-season premiere — due perhaps, in part, to the impossibly hot male lead, Matt Lanter. (If you're not on board yet, get on that!)
Our friends at Celebified caught up with Matt, who plays alien teenager Roman on the series, at the Humane Society of the United States 60th Anniversary Benefit Gala! The 31-year-old hottie dished on Monday's then-upcoming episode, and the future of Roman and his human lady-love, Emery Whitehill (Aimee Teegarden).
"They might or might not kiss in [the March 31] episode! It's a big moment that a lot of people have been waiting for," says Matt — adding that Romery shippers will be ultra-satisfied by the happenings of "To Seek a Foe."
"I think that we'll get a little bit of Roman and Emery for a while," he adds. We can't wait!
So will that be the end of Emery's love triangle between Roman and Grayson Montrose (Friday Night Lights's Grey Damon)? "I don't think it ever cuts out a love triangle on the CW, it's always there," jokes Matt. Good point.
Of course, Grayson isn't the only thing that could come in between Roman and Emery. After all, the main thing that's been keeping them apart is the volatile political situation between the humans and Roman's race of alien refugees, the Atrians. One character that seems set to make or break the safety of Romery is Roman's Uncle Castor — whom we're not sure if we can trust just yet.
"That's one of the major elements that plays out through the rest of our season … Uncle Castor and how he affects Roman and the safety of the people around him, particularly Emery," Matt reveals.
"All these elements that we've kind of been seeing, they don't just go away," Matt assures eagle-eyed viewers. "By the final couple of episodes, there's a lot of payoff happening."
