Whenever one of our Bachelor or Bachelorette contestants hits the dusty trail, we do feel a little bit for them — even the “villains” like Kalon McMahon or Tierra LiCausi. OK, maybe not Bentley Williams, but you catch our drift. At the very least, it’s embarrassing, at the most, devastating. Yet, we still found it hard to empathize with Andrew Poole when he was denied a rose in June 16’s Episode 5 of Andi Dorfman’s season.
Not to say we don’t think Andrew was a fine enough guy to Andi throughout the season — there’s been much worse (see aforementioned names) — but the dude had been followed by scandal after scandal, starting with those rumors that he got a waitress’s number during filming. (That’s never been proven, FYI.)
Then tonight, things got increasingly worse when Pantsapreneur JJ O’Brien claimed that Andrew had called sharp dresser Marquel Martin a “blackie.” Though he firmly denied the gross term, we couldn’t shake the feeling that Andrew’s time was up.
But hey, it wasn’t a complete wash for the techie: He’s found himself a lifelong bromance in fellow Episode 5 cast-off, Patrick Jagodzinski. Love may be short lived, but brotherhood lasts forever!
ORIGINAL STORY 4/7/14:
Andi Dorfman has approximately 84 billion hot guys vying for her love, affection, and roses on Season 10 of The Bachelorette. And while a little Internet digging is enough for us to find out a lot about most of the 25 contestants on the show, some take a little more time for us to get to know them. Take Andrew Poole, for example.
No, seriously, could you take him? Find out more about him and then let us know what the heck is going on in his life, because he’s pretty good at keeping things under wraps. We have to believe that one of the reasons the 29-year-old is so secretive is that he works for Facebook and has a secret code in his brain that lets him erase himself from the world. Well, that or he shares his name with a lot of others who make it tough to dig the dirt.
LinkedIn lists Andrew’s job as “Developing Media Strategies at Facebook” in the San Francisco/Bay area, but his Facebook page says he lives in Los Angeles. Previously, the Portola Valley (in San Mateo County), California native worked as a Jobs Board Specialist at Google.
What ramped him up for these awesome jobs? A superb education. After graduating from The Thacher School, a private boarding high school in Ojai, California, Andrew traveled north to attend Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington, from which he graduated in 2006. Andrew is the oldest of three boys, with two younger brothers, Eric and Russell.
Reality Steve shared a pic of Andrew a fan took in Santa Barbara on Episode 3’s Boyz II Men group date, on which Andrew suited up for the tie team. Oh, and he looks like Pacey Whitter from Dawson’s Creek, which should be enough reason to root for him…
Do you know Andrew? Tell us all about him!
