Red Carpet

Tyler Posey and Zendaya Set to Co-Host 2014 MTV Movie Awards Live Pre-Show — Exclusive

MTV is kicking off summer blockbuster season with the 2014 MTV Movie Awards, but some of the night’s more interesting moments might just happen before the show even starts! Wetpaint Entertainment can exclusively reveal that Teen Wolf star Tyler Posey and Disney starlet Zendaya will join MTV’s Josh Horowitz and Christina Garibaldi on the red carpet for the 2014 MTV Movie Awards Live Pre-Show.

The Live Pre-Show, which starts on Sunday, April 13 at 8:30 p.m. ET on MTV, will include celebrity appearances by Captain America: The Winter Soldier star Anthony Mackie (who will make a very special entrance), Fault in Our Stars costars Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort, and more. Josh Horowitz will also host a special edition of “MTV After Hours” with special guests Joe Manganiello, Emile Hirsch, Brooklyn Decker, and Tony Hale.

And that’s not all. Nerdfighters, grab your tissues because the 30-minute Pre-Show will also feature an exclusive scene from the anticipated summer flick, The Fault in Our Stars, introduced by Shailene and Ansel. (We’re already stocking up on chocolate.)

Designer Rachel Antonoff will also join in on the pre-show fun as she reports on all the night’s best looks for MTV Style’s Red Carpet Report.

Then, tune into the 2014 MTV Movie Awards — hosted by Conan O’Brien — to see which of your favorite movie stars will take home the golden popcorn. Channing Tatum is set to receive the third annual “MTV Trailblazer Award” for boldly paving the way with a unique and diverse body of work. Meanwhile, Oscar-nominated actor and producer Mark Wahlberg will be honored with the “MTV Generation Award,” which will be presented to him by the Entourage cast: Adrian Grenier, Kevin Connolly, Jerry Ferrara, and Kevin Dillon.

Catch the 2014 MTV Movie Awards Live Pre-Show on Sunday, April 13 at 8:30 p.m. ET, followed by the 2014 MTV Movie Awards at 9 p.m. ET on MTV.
