Kate Middleton and Prince William Arrive in New Zealand — With Prince George! (VIDEO)
Get ready, New Zealand: It’s time to meet Prince George! Kate, Prince Will, and the most adorable royal ever officially landed in New Zealand last night to kick off their three-week tour, where George is making some of his first public appearances. We’re hoping he takes his nap time seriously, because he’s got a pretty busy schedule lined up for an 8-month-old, including 45 separate engagements.
According to People, when the royal family landed around noon Monday New Zealand time, Kate sported a pretty important heirloom: A diamond and platinum brooch featuring New Zealand’s emblem, a silver fern, that was given to Queen Elizabeth during her tour down under in 1953.
Even cooler? The fact that Will took the same tour with his parents, Prince Charles and Princess Diana, when he was George’s age. Like father, like son!
While there are plenty of garden parties and yacht sailing adventures planned, something George might find a little less boring is a trip to the Taronga Zoo in Sydney, Australia, where he will have an enclosure named after him. Um, jealous? Talk about a family vacation!
