Those Jersey girls clean up nice!
Real Housewives of New Jersey stars Caroline Manzo, Jacqueline Laurita and family hit the red carpet in style last night for the HealthCorps gala.
The Savory Garden Gala, held at the Waldorf Astoria in Manhattan, raised funds to fight the child obesity crisis and expand the organization’s in-school health education programming.
Caroline tweeted before the black tie event, "Did you know that @HealthCorps has three schools in #NJ? Celebrating their success at the #HCGala tonight in NYC!" She later shared the swanky photo shown via Facebook, writing, "Such a great night! :0) #HCGala." Caroline also spent some time "causing trubble" with celeb chef Rocco DiSpirito.
Jacqueline shared a similar group photo, writing, "What a group! What a Gala! #healthcorps #SavoryGardenGala #WaldorfAstoria."
You may notice Dr. Mehmet Oz in that group pic. That’s because HealthCorps was founded in 2003 by the heart surgeon and his wife Lisa to create a new generation of healthy young people. According to the website, HealthCorps curriculum is currently available in schools through its “Living Labs” program. Its national peer mentoring program is currently in 62 high schools in 13 states, including New Jersey. The goal is for HealthCorps to be in 100 schools in all 50 states by 2015.
Caroline and Jacqueline are sitting out RHoNJ Season 6, which recently finished filming, but Caroline does have her own spin-off coming up, called Manzo'd With Children. The series is meant to feature her husband Albert, sons Albie and Chris, daughter Lauren, and sister Fran.
What do you think of the classy family photo? Don't they all look amazing?
