K. Michelle Becomes Victim of Fan-Made Online Hoax (PHOTO)

It appears that fans are pretty desperate to get close to Love & Hip Hop veteran K. Michelle. So desperate in fact, that they sucked the singer into a hoax surrounding a dying girl in order to get the Memphis beauty’s attention and meet her in person.

“It’s really sad and disgusting that someone would go to the extreme of using a child’s illness just to meet me. This is not being a fan, this is being a stalker. I give my all to my fans and it hurts that anyone would abuse that and make something like this up. Social media is truly getting out of hand. I pray for whoever did this. God bless!” K. Michelle posted as a text gram to her IG page.

Sometime in the past few weeks, K. Michelle was inspired by the story of a dying young girl named Emma, who was (presumably) in a coma of sorts, but was moderately revived when hearing some of K. Michelle’s music. Kay then appeared to have been so inspired by the story that she planned to meet the girl. That’s when she learned that the online account ran by “Emma’s” family was fake, and it was all a hoax created by crazy fans who would stop at nothing to meet her.

“The real Emma had been found. #PeopleAreCrazy,” Kay captioned her Instagram post.

While it’s pretty sad to hear that K. Michelle was essentially catfished by stalker fans, we only hope that this experience hasn’t caused Kay to shut out the fans that truly do love and need her.
