Glee Ratings: Season 5, Episode 15 “Bash” Rises, But Not By Much

We were pretty bummed when Glee’s first NYC-only episode flopped in the ratings, tying the previous series low. At first it may have seemed like a fluke, but now that we have the ratings for Season 5, Episode 15 (“Bash”), it seems like this is the new normal.

According to TVLine, this week’s installment brought in 2.8 million viewers, snagging a 1.0 share in the targeted demo of young folk from 18 to 49. This means the ratings ticked up one-tenth of a point, which, as it sounds, isn’t a huge improvement.

Why aren’t people tuning in? Sigh. This week’s episode was a Broadway extravaganza and really had a nice mix of serious moments paired with the adorable back-and-forth between Sam Evans (Chord Overstreet) and Mercedes Jones (Amber Riley). Kurt (Chris Colfer) really stepped up — and got beat up, unfortunately — against bullies while Samcedes had their fair share of drama.

So while the ratings aren’t good at all, at least they’re (hopefully) headed in the right direction. We are crossing our fingers and wishing for the ratings to get better. The NYC move has been great so far — in fact, it’s everything we’ve ever wanted — so tune in!

Are you surprised the ratings weren’t very good this week? Hit the comments and let us know!
