During her unforgettable appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live on April 1 Danai Gurira (Michonne) mentioned that she was meeting with The Walking Dead writers and producers the following day to go over Season 5. Access Hollywood caught up with Danai days after that meeting at the Marie Claire Fresh Faces event in Los Angeles on Tuesday, April 8, so she was able to dish out some vague hints about what’s to come, warning, “You should be concerned. It’s a dire circumstance, definitely.”
In case you need a refresher, Michonne, Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln), Carl Grimes (Chandler Riggs), Bob Stookey (Larry Gilliard Jr.), Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green), Maggie Greene (Lauren Cohan),Glenn Rhee (Steven Yeun), Tara Chambler (Alanna Masterson), Abraham Ford (Michael Cudlitz), Eugene Porter (Josh McDermitt), Rosita Espinosa (Christian Serratos), and Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) are all trapped in a Terminus train car marked “A” with no foreseeable way out. Rick seems confident that his crew is no match for these Termites, but they’re still locked in a confined space thanks to a pretty odd group of strangers who may or may not be cannibals.
“These people are not very nice,” Danai said of the people at Terminus. “We’re not checked into the Four Seasons in there, so yeah, it’s a pretty scary thing.” There’s certainly no mistaking the train car for a luxury hotel, so we just hope our group can figure out a way to escape as soon as possible.
As for what else lies ahead in Season 5, Danai revealed, “I can tell you that it’s gonna be dire and it’s gonna be intense. It’s all the things you tune in to see. It’ll be that and then some.” Ooh, color us curious!
