Relationships are rough for anyone, but reality television stars have it especially difficult, since their whole lives play out on television. And for some who actually met on television, like The Bachelorette Season 1 couple Trista and Ryan Sutter, it’s only natural that they would want to work on their relationship on TV, too. Well, not too strange anyway.
Lucky for fans of Marriage Boot Camp — and The Bachelorette — Trista and Ryan are heading back to TV to take a good, hard, fire-surrounded (no seriously, check the clip) look at their marriage. While some of the couples seem to be on the fence with whether they’ll make it or not, Trista assures fans that there’s no need to panic about her future with her hot firefighting hubby.
Back in December, when it first broke that the loves of 10 years would be on the show, Trista explained her reasons. “We want to show people that how long you’ve been married, no matter how happy you are — because Ryan and I are the happiest we’ve ever been, truly — you have to work on your marriage,” Trista told Access Hollywood at the time. “You have to put effort in. So what is the problem with actually working on it? There’s nothing wrong — we just want to be better.”
Now, E! Online has the first preview of the show, which also stars Real Housewives of Orange County’s Gretchen Rossi and Slade Smiley and Jersey Shore’s JWoww and Roger, among others. While the clip seems more focused on most of the other couples and their marriage woes, we have no doubt that the Marriage Boot Camp therapists will have plenty to talk about with them. Plus, we can look forward to Trista continuing her signature real-talk-o'clock style tough love for the folks who don’t keep it together nearly as well as the O.G. of reality love.

This isn’t the first time a couple from the show has sought out some advice from Marriage Boot Camp counselors Jim and Elizabeth Carroll. Just last month, Juan Pablo Galavis and Season 18 love Nikki Ferrell were spotted sitting down for lunch with the pro-mancers. Who knows, maybe if things go well for the Sutters, the Ferravis duo will be on the next season!
