The wait is finally over, Originals fans! Your favorite family vampire drama is back and something tell us it’s going to be bigger and better than ever in tonight’s epic return — Season 1, Episode 18 (“The Big Uneasy”).
With the fight to claim the French Quarter hotter than ever, the supernatural residents of New Orleans all have a plan up their sleeve to get their species to the top. Genevieve asks Elijah to allow her coven to publicly celebrate a traditional feast day, where members of the community offer the witches gifts in return for blessings. Of course, this is all part of Genevieve’s plan to build the witches power — and to teach Davina a violent lesson.
Meanwhile, Elijah focuses his attention on restoring the Mikaelson home to its former glory, but Klaus accuses him of doing it only to impress Hayley. It’s the thought that counts, right Elijah? But we highly doubt the Little Wolf is ready to abandon her pack just yet. After all, she’s been searching for her family for a heck of a long time.
While Genevieve sets her plan in motion, Klaus puts the finishing touches on his by finding Cary, a werewolf from his own blood line, and sending him off to find a missing piece of family history. We’re excited to see Klaus connect with his werewolf past, but we wonder what this means for the Crescent Moon pack.
And then there’s Marcel, who lets his former bestie Thierry in on his new plan to rebuild his power and reclaim his reign over the city. But his other right hand man Diego has his own ideas about the future.
But all of their supernatural worlds collide at the Feast of the Blessings, where Klaus gives Davina a surprisingly important gift before the ceremony explodes into violence. Of course it does! Since when does a public gathering in New Orleans ever not end in death and destruction?
We’ll have the full recap up in just a bit. But until then, tell us what you thought of the episode in the comments!
