this sneak peek for tonight’s all-new episode of The Originals.
In it, we see Elijah
) and Klaus
) facing off after another threat to Hayley
’s (Phoebe Tonkin
) life. In the clip for Season 1, Episode 18
(“The Big Uneasy”), Elijah makes it clear that he won’t ignore his feelings out of regard for Klaus’ feelings any longer. Check it out!
“Well, I see that you’ve already avenged the Little Wolf,” Klaus tells Elijah upon entering the Mikaelson compound to find Elijah inspecting the blood on his hand, “but judging by your look, you’re still out for blood.” Klaus’ intuitions are right. Elijah is pissed. Apparently, he found out that Klaus is meeting with the werewolves behind his back. Klaus argues that he’s just trying to get to know his family, OK? “Lest you forget, Elijah, they are my family as much as any Mikaelson -- a name, in truth, I cannot even call my own.”
Elijah is not cool with this assessment of the situation: “How casually you disavow a thousand years of allegiance towards you.” Here we go again...
“And now that I have found the remnants of my other family am I to ignore their plight?” Klaus asks, referring of course to the werewolves, who live in squalor outside of the city. “I would have thought you would support my desire to help them when, in doing so, I help Hayley and the child.”
“Do not question my allegiance towards that child,” Elijah says, angrily.
Klaus sees his opening: “Oh, and I suppose your affection for Hayley has nothing to do with your tireless dedication.” The best thing about Elijah and Klaus’ arguments is how they are both usually right.
But, Elijah totally wins this spat through sheer force of will, pinning Klaus against a wall and telling him: “I have denied every single impulse that I have ever had for that woman out of some misbegotten respect for intentions that you don’t even have … I’m warning you. I’ve forgiven you. I have stood by you. I have forsaken every single one of my desires in the name of your ridiculous redemption. No more. If I want something, I’ll take it. And nothing, nothing, will stand in my way.”
Whoa. This will-they-won’t-they romance just escalated. But can someone please tell Elijah that he needs to get Hayley on board with this epic romance instead of making statements like “If I want something, I’ll take it.” Thanks." alt="Image1" class="image-fit">
