American Idol 2014 Spoilers: Top 7 Song Choices Revealed! — April 16, 2014

American Idol has always been a competition, but tonight, our Top 7 are getting ready to kick it up a notch.

During tonight’s performance show, the name of the game is “competitors,” which means the group will be selecting songs for each other to perform. Pretty neat concept, huh? Hopefully, this means we’ll be getting some awesome performances out of some otherwise tricky song choices, but we’ll find out for sure tonight!

Thanks to MJ’s Big Blog, we get to see what the Top 7 has chosen for each other to perform tonight. Here’s the list:

Alex Preston — "A Team" by Ed Sheeran

CJ Harris — "Gravity" by Josh Turner

Dexter Roberts — "Muckalee Creek Water" by Luke Bryan

Jena Irene Asciutto — "Creep" by Radiohead

Jess Meuse — "Gunpowder and Lead" by Miranda Lambert

Caleb Johnson — "Family Tree" by Kings of Leon

Sam Woolf — "Sail Away"

No artist was listed for Sam's song, and considering that there are a lot of songs titled "Sail Away," that one might end up being a bit of a surprise for us tonight. Plus, we're a little surprised to see nobody really tried to trip anyone up. We were expecting someone to try and drag Dexter out of the country for a night!

What do you make of the choices? Think they're good or a little surprised?
