The Walking Dead Season 5: Emily Kinney Says Beth Is… (VIDEO)
It’s been about a month since we last saw Beth Greene (Emily Kinney), and we still have at least six months to go before we might get another glimpse of the lost teen. She was seemingly kidnapped at the end of Season 4, Episode 13: “Alone” and there has been plenty of speculation about her current whereabouts.
Luckily, actress Emily Kinney sat down with SN TV for a segment of “Celebrity Bytes,” and she dished on Beth’s mystery locale. Sort of. “Beth is somewhere, but we don’t know where and you won’t find out for quite a few months I guess,” Em teased. “People are just going to have to come up with their own conclusions, their own ideas.”
Thankfully, Emily’s tease means Beth will be back in some capacity in Season 5, which is good since the 28-year-old actress really loves her job! “Being on The Walking Dead is a blast. I’ve learned a lot as an actor, I’ve gotten to work with amazing people,” she explained. “It’s been cool for me to follow a character for so long. I think as an actor a lot of times you’re just in shows as a guest star or recurring. Even if you’re in a theater show it’s usually not more than a year or so, so to be with a character for so long on a long-running series is really satisfying and it’s really fun. It’s fun to see that character change and grow up and deal with all these new circumstances.”
It also sounds like Emily might have gotten a preview of Season 5 (much like some of her co-stars did!) because she’s already making bold predictions about the AMC hit’s 2014-2015 run. “Seeing people’s reactions to Season 4, I think it was just a blast and one of the best seasons that we’ve had. Obviously the show is still just gaining momentum and gaining fans and gaining viewers, so I think Season 5 is going to be just that much better and that much more exciting.” Great, now how are we supposed to suffer through the next six months?!
